It depends. If the library has a copy of a textbook in our regular collection, you may check it out. 

However, if the textbook is only in the reserve collection, then you cannot request it.  Many of the library's copies are instructor-owned, and we are not allowed to check those out. However, in most cases, textbooks in the reserve collection can be used in the library. To find out if your textbook is on reserve in the library, you will first need to know the last name of your instructor, the class, or the book title.  Then use the Textbook Search to search for reserve materials.
