For purposes of this board policy, the term “child” means an individual under the age of 13 years who is not enrolled in MiraCosta College as a full-time or part-time student. Under the limited circumstances set forth in [District Board Policy 3840], a child may be part of the MiraCosta College teaching-learning environment. Whenever a child is present, however, thoughtful, adult supervision is required.

Under no circumstances may an unattended or unsupervised child be on MiraCosta College property, including playing, roaming, and occupying grounds or buildings.

For more information, view MiraCosta District Board Policy 3840.
