Q. How do I format citations in APA Style? For example, how do I cite a book, journal article, newspaper article, magazine article, webpage or a website in APA Style?

MiraCosta College librarians have created an APA Style Handout which illustrates how to cite many common sources (including journal articles, books, webpages, websites, magazines articles, etc).

Some databases will create an APA (or MLA, etc.) citation for you. These citations, when present, are machine-generated and may have one or more mistakes to correct so be sure you are familiar with your citation style in order to proofread it for errors.
