Gale In Context: Opposing Viewpoints is a library database that covers today's hottest social issues with summaries, viewpoints, academic articles, etc..  . It is accessible through the library's website.  To get there:

  • Navigate to the library's homepage, then click on the Databases link (in white letters under OneSearch) to go to the library databases page.
  • Gale in Context: Opposing Viewpoints is displayed in 2 places on the databases page: At the top of the page in a box featuring 4 of our most popular databases; and in alphabetical order under the letter G. Click the name of the database to open it.

MiraCosta also has access to CQ Researcher, which is another database offering opposing viewpoints. You can also find a good introduction to a topic or issue by using one of our reference databases:
