To find the physical description of an item (basically, what a book, DVD, CD, or other item looks like) in the MiraCosta Library catalog:
- Go to the library catalog.
- Search the catalog for the item in which you are interested and click on the title to view the catalog record.
- You will now see the item's record. Click on the "Catalog Record" to view more information about the item.
- Scroll down until you find the "Physical Description." If the item is a book, it will include at minimum the number of pages and the size of the book in centimeters. If the item is a videorecording or music recording, the physical description will note whether the item is a DVD, CD, or other material. If the item is an electronic book or streaming video, it will make a note of that as well.
For the example "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," you can see that the book is 319 pages long, contains some illustrations, and has a height of 21 cm.
