A great place to start for oppositional views on many topics is in our database, Opposing Viewpoints in Context (if you are using your computer from home you will need to enter in your surf id and password).

Use search words, for example, "stem cell research" or try "stem cell" and view the suggested topics listed for you. You will see headings such as Viewpoints (pro and cons of topics), Academic Journals, Primary Sources (first hand accounts), Statistics, Images, Videos, News, Magazines and more.

Also, try our database CQ Researcher for in-depth analysis of the most current major and controversial issues of the day with complete summaries and pros and cons. Again, use the search term "stem cell research" to get an overview, background and current situation information, outlook, pro and con debate, chronology of topic events, and stats!
